Briana Boston and President Barack Obama’s Legacy of Failure:
History will not view “Obamacare’s” policy “prescriptions” favorably.

FREE BRIANA BOSTON…

Briana Boston, a 42-year-old Lakeland, Florida, mother – and housewife, was arrested last Thursday, December 12th, after making an ambiguous threat on a phone call with Blue Cross-Blue Shield (BCBS), her health insurance company.
Mrs. Boston recently made a claim for service from Blue Cross-Blue Shield, which the multi-billion-dollar insurance corporation denied. Blue Cross-Blue Shield is also the parent corporation of at least two additional billion-dollar subsidiary healthcare companies.

Anthem is the largest BCBS company, with an estimated revenue of $92 billion annually. The Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) consists of multiple Blue Cross Insurance Companies in several states. In 2022, HCSC reported $1.5 billion in profit, and BCBS plans listed $18 billion in revenue for the third quarter of 2023.
The local District Attorney charged Boston with threats to conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism after she said on a recorded call, “Delay, deny, depose. You people are next.”

“Delay, deny, depose” is the exact phrase that alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s murderer, Luigi Mangione, engraved on the bullet casings found at the scene of the crime on December 4th, 2024, in Manhattan, New York.
Mr. Mangione’s cold-blooded assassination of Mr. Thompson sparked widespread anger against the American healthcare industry. The shooting also influenced social media testimonials from thousands of people with horror stories of their claim denials from insurance companies. The public support for Mangione and a lack of sympathy for Brian Thompson’s death shocked the American and international corporate mainstream press.
Briana Boston received similar social media support and financial donations from many US citizens after her arrest and detainment last week. Multiple GoFundMe donation pages quickly raised bail money for Mrs. Boston after Florida Judge Catherine Combee set her bond at $100,000.
“I do find that the bond of $100,000 is appropriate considering the status of our country at this point,” said Judge Combee.

Florida judges and law enforcement officials are eager to use Briana Boston’s prosecution as a preliminary test case for how national police and the courts will make public examples of people who exhibit animus against private, for-profit corporations after Brian Thompson’s murder.
During an interview last Thursday with local media, Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor said, “It’s not like she’s a child. She’s 42 years old. We’re not dealing with a child here. She should certainly know better.”
Gary De Pury, a Florida attorney interviewed by the media who does not represent Mrs. Boston, said her lawyer should push for a speedy trial. “I don’t think a reasonable person would perceive this as an actionable threat,” said De Pury.
“This is in the news right now, and people are angry,” De Pury continued. “They’re siding with the murderer in New York, which I disagree with. At this point, that benefits this defendant,” De Pury concluded.

“How’s that hopey, changey stuff working out?”

What is NOT in the news right now is how former President Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats constructed America’s current system of healthcare and health insurance fourteen years ago.
Remember President Obama’s viral 2008 campaign slogan, “Hope and Change?” As former Arizona Senator John McCain’s (1936-2018) 2008 Vice Presidential nominee, Alaska Republican Governor Sarah Palin, asked in 2010, “How’s that hopey, changey stuff working out?”
Mr. Obama’s chief domestic policy accomplishment was campaigning for Congressional votes to pass and finally signing the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in 2010. Many Democrats thought Obama was leading the United States toward adopting laws that would transform the country’s healthcare system into a Western European-style managed care and insurance model.
The Republican Party (GOP) vehemently challenged the ACA by labeling it “socialized medicine” and questioning the plan’s legality from the very beginning. What seems clear now is that the GOP might have successfully opposed “Obamacare” by rigorously critiquing the legislation’s effectiveness.

President Obama and the leadership of the National Democratic Party promoted the ACA as a marked improvement in the American healthcare and insurance systems.
The ACA created a centralized healthcare “marketplace” via a government-managed web portal to help Americans access multiple coverage options. “Obamacare” expanded Medicaid eligibility, raised the age of child eligibility for parent plans until twenty-six, and prevented insurance companies from engaging in the previous widespread practice of denying coverage to consumers with pre-existing medical conditions, among other reforms.
The HealthCare.gov portal was also supposed to make obtaining health insurance more affordable through tax credits and cost-sharing initiatives focused on low-income families and single adults. Over the past fourteen years, these changes have significantly reduced the statistical rate of uninsured Americans. However, the ACA has also led to a rapid monopolization of the healthcare industry, in which a handful of giant businesses profit significantly by denying health treatments and life-saving medical care.

Fueled by racial animus against Barack Obama, 2024 President-elect Donald Trump has been hell-bent on comprehensively dismantling his previous predecessor’s policy legacy.
Mr. Trump has been remarkably successful. From ripping up the Iran Nuclear Deal to pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, he tried to keep a 2016 campaign promise to “cancel every unconstitutional executive action, memorandum, and order issued by President Obama.”
Yet, Senator McCain was featured in the high-dramatic moment that prevented President Trump from eliminating “Obamacare” in July 2018. His epic “thumbs down” vote against repealing the ACA prevented Donald Trump from an ultimate final conquest over his prime political nemesis.
Mr. Trump’s reelection in November 2024 will give him another chance at obliterating Obama’s legacy. Still and all, Mr. Obama – other “moderate” Democrats in Congress and the conservative Democratic National Committee have also played significant roles in the upcoming triumphs for Trump and the GOP.

Beginning with President Obama’s tax-payer-funded bailout of the banking industry in 2009, Democratic Presidents and Congressional Democrats have since been on a mission to “out-conservative” the GOP for fifteen years now.
The ultimate slap in the face to progressive and liberal American voters happened in 2021 after the coronavirus pandemic. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris feigned helplessness to prevent retiring former Democratic Senators Joe Manchin (I-WV), Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ), and a contingent of conservative House Democrats from tanking the Build Back Better agenda.
Couple the Biden-Harris Administration’s political weakness in 2021 with the over $9 million in campaign donations that healthcare insurance political action committees (PACs) lavished on VP Harris and other congressional Democrats in 2024, and we find ourselves in the current nightmare.
Donald Trump will return to the White House next month, the GOP has grabbed control of Congress, and the President-elect promises to finish what he started in 2017 by appointing Elon Musk and other billionaire scammers to eliminate social welfare programs and federal regulations.

The Lakeland court granted Briana Boston a pre-trial release with bond, and she is now under house arrest.
However, if convicted of the second-degree felony the state of Florida is threatening to impose on her, Mrs. Boston could face up to fifteen years in prison. Rusty Franklin, a Polk County, Florida criminal defense attorney not affiliated with Briana Boston’s case, informed local media that prosecutors could drop the case.
“The government’s going to have a difficult time in this case,” said Mr. Franklin. “If this had happened 10 days ago, [she] never would have been arrested, ever.”
Welcome to Donald Trump’s “MAGA Land,” made possible by Barack Obama and “moderate” Congressional Democrats.
