Finally, in 2023, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris had a chance to crack down on private insurance companies’ rampant overbilling of the federal Medicare Advantage Plan.
Guess what the Biden-Harris administration did? Old “Fightin’ Joe” and “Laughing Kamala” decided to slow the implementation of the crackdown on overbilling at the request of private insurance company lobbyists and campaign donors.
However, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski blamed VP Harris’s loss to Donald Trump last month on “wokeness.”
Great article and great presentation. The connection to the complaints of institutional Dems of Kamala being "too far left" is perfect. I've rarely seen Americans as "United" as I've seen them in their response to this. Universal healthcare isn't "too far left," universal healthcare is what Americans want, it's what we need, and it's a human right that all of us deserve
Enjoyed your take as John said. I agree. Here is my take on the situation which goes into more detail about the cracking down which has been in talks since 2009.
